Second Sunday – October 14th, 2018
On the second sunday of every second month this year we will be pursuing relationships specifically across cultures. We desire to be a part of the work of racial and cultural reconciliation inside the church and in our city. Our hope is that we can begin by taking small simple steps, like joining other congregations for their worship service so that we can built relationships and unity with others in our city. Beginning February 11th, we will take second sundays to join a church in our city for their worship service. The details are listed below, please join us!
Let me encourage you, as much as your schedules are able, to come early and stay late. One of our main goals is to build relationships, so let’s make time for that before and after the services.
Morris Brown AME Church, 10:00 am
13 Morris Street, Charleston, SC (there is a parking lot behind the church off of St. Phillip St.)
The service will probably be around 2 hours. Dress will be more traditional than River Church. There is no childcare at Morris Brown AME. If you have any questions contact David Kite – 843-576-9899.
We are very excited about this opportunity and I hope you are too! I believe that God will teach us more about himself and the church as we do this, and I am excited to see our church continue to build relationship with these churches. The greatest unity in the world is in Christ. Please be praying for our time before we go. We look forward to seeing yall there!
