The Godhead
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, each possessing all the attributes of deity.
God the Father
We believe in God the Father Almighty, the first person of the Trinity, the maker of heaven and earth.
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ His only begotten Son, the second person of the Trinity, who was born of the Virgin Mary, took upon Himself human flesh, and dwelt among us. At that time He did not cease to be God, but being fully God, also became fully man. He lived, ministered, performed miracles, taught of the kingdom of God, and was crucified on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. On the third day he rose bodily from the dead, appeared to His followers, and ascended to God the Father.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, and is of the same essence and glory as the Father and the Son. He works to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to draw mankind to the Savior, Jesus Christ. He indwells all who are born again, empowers them for service, and transforms them into the likeness of Jesus Christ.
Man
We believe that man is created in the image of God, but Adam, the first man, willfully disobeyed God and brought sin into the world. Since that time every person is born with a sinful nature and a tendency to sin. Humans are sinners by nature and action, are spiritually dead, and are in need of salvation.
Salvation
We believe that salvation by grace through faith is offered to mankind on account of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those who repent and place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are forgiven of their sins, justified in God’s sight, and regenerated in their hearts by the Holy Spirit. Salvation begins the process of sanctification, or becoming holy as Christ is holy.
The Church
We believe that the Church is composed of all true believers for all time, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ are united together in the Body of Christ, of which He is the head. The local church is a community of Christ-followers who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the Gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
The Scriptures
We believe that the completed sixty-six books of the Bible are inspired by God and are without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the complete revelation of God’s will for man and the final authority for all Christian faith and life.
Eternity
We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Christ from heaven. The resurrection of the dead and final judgment will take place at this time. The souls of the righteous will enter into eternal life with God, and the wicked will enter into eternal death separated from God in hell. The lives of those in heaven and hell are eternal.
